About Us

Management Committee

The Management Committee are a team of volunteers appointed by the Trustees to manage the smooth running of all the hall and it’s facilities.  The committee meet on a monthly basis (first Tuesday each month).

Everything that you can think of is either undertaken or commissioned and managed by the Committee.  Internal and external cleaning, painting, general upkeep and maintenance. Statutory compliance with electrical, heating and safety testing and installation regulations.  Management of customers and enquiries in terms of booking, scheduling, invoicing, payments, banking and accounts.  All of this was particularly exercised during the Covid pandemic where rules of operation of Public Buildings were under enhanced safety procedures.

The Village Hall is a member of ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England) and its local branch Community Impact Bucks.  This network provides advice and support to Village and Community Halls and were extremely helpful during the pandemic.  We are always looking for new members to join us, contribute and get their hands dirty, it’s a very rewarding thing to do for the Village. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more.

Prestwood Village Hall Trustees

The trustees of the Prestwood Village Hall charity are required to reside within the parish as stated in the governance document lodged with the Charity Commission. All of the current trustees are long time users of the village hall be it as hirers, event attendees or event volunteers.

It is the role of the trustees to ensure that the charity operates within the stipulations of our governance document and regulations as set out by the Charity Commission. The trustees are also responsible for the presentation of the annual accounts which have to be independently audited before being sent to the Charity Commission for inspection. The accounts are then presented to the public at the annual public general meeting which takes place in November of every year. The trustees also arrange for valuation of the premises for insurance purposes.

The trustees of Prestwood Village Hall are available through our contact page.
