Next Events

This page offers various views of the events held in this site. Immediately below is a carousel for events, it will show the next 24 events, cycling through them automatically. To open one to find out more information click on either the image or the title. The event will expand to show more information.

Different views

Below this section is a calendar showing the current month of data. The calendar exists in a tabbed box with several other different views of the events. You have available; Month View, Event List View, Week View, Timetable List, TImetable this week, Timetable next week. These are just different ways of looking at the events in the calendar.

Searching

At the top of each of these tabbed boxes are different ways of filtering or searching for a particular event. You can choose by Category; Main Hall or Small Hall, or by label;  there are some generic names for the types of events, you can search on month, and you can even add in search text to help you to locate something. The following explains how it works.

Category

Category has two values: Large Hall and/ or Small Hall. You can filter the view to see which rooms are being used by deselecting one or the other. They are both turned on by default. An event with a blue background shows the main hall is in use for the event, a maroon background shows the small hall is in use, a yellow background shows both rooms are in use for an event.

Label

Each event has a label associated with it. The labels are listed below and are correct at the time the site was published, there may be more added. You can select a label by clicking the dropdown in the label box and filter the view depending on your interest. The purpose of this filter is to help you to quickly locate something in a busy calendar.

Labels: Arts and Crafts, Bridge, Dance, Exercise, Gardening, Health, Martial Arts, Misc Group, Not disclosed, Private Event, PVH (committee), Religious Meeting, Seniors, Theatre, Toddlers and Babies, WI.

Date Selection

On some of the views of the calendar you can change the date you are looking at either through the controls on the calendar or through a field which allows you to enter a date, or date range. This narrow the selection available.

Text Search

Most views have the ability to search through the calendar database to locate items that match the search the criteria.

Reset

If you have already conducted a search or filtered the view of the calendar, you can click on the search button to reset the view back to the default.

Event Details

Each event lists the date and times of the event, please note that this also includes the set up and tear down time, so the times when the event is active may be different. It shows whether the event is in the main hall or the small hall or both. If there is a description for the event this is included as well. The organiser contact details are also listed if they are available and reference to any external websites.

Organiser

Where the event is one which is open to the community, organiser details are published, if you are interested in attending and joining please contact the person listed as the organiser for the event.
